...Or for that matter, just RENAME the file from Applesoft or from a P8
file utility...both P8 and BASIC.SYSTEM patched just fine...it's GS/OS's
PRO.FST that is having trouble.

My preference, though, is to get the patch back in place so that the next
time I need to import something with an illegal filename, I can do it.  I
have gotten some assistance in that regard via email...I haven't
downloaded the patcher that Norman sent me yet, but I'll try it when I get
home...!
