There were once viruses on the Apple II, but they were crushed
by the vigilant efforts of online services and BBS owners.

I still have some virus checkers here somewhere and you should
be able to find one on the AOL Apple II Forum.

I remember reading about one nasty one that would hide itself
in the battery RAM (BRAM) of that holds the Control Panel
settings.  The virus would turn the text color and background
color both to black thus making the text screen invisible.
Luckily, I've never encountered this virus personally.

Almost any should work because the IIGS viruses are pretty
old.
