Re: Apple ][e - Getting started (DITTO!!!)
Hi,
As far as the infinite loop is concerned to stop an applesoft basic program in
an infinite loop you need to issue a control-c. This breaks the execution of an
Applesoft Basic program. As far as the start up disks go. I don't have an apple
IIc, but an apple IIgs so I don't have a boot disk for you, but There are lots of
people out there that will be able to help you.
If you really want to get into old Apple IIs, I really suggest finding your
self an Apple IIGS. They have a lot more potential compared to the older
computers. They not only use nearly all the older 8-bit software, but they can
be hooked to many of todays items, including printers, hard disks and such. They
even a can run a Graphical OS similar to a MacOS/Windoze if that is your thing.
Heck, I've never done it, but there are even people who can access the internet
with their IIGS.
Some good web sites ....for info
http://www.syndicomm.com/a2web/
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Technology/AppleUsersGroup/faq/a2faq.html
Of course, like you said, all of these sites seem to assume that you have used an
apple II alot.
If you have any questions you can ask me.
