The above post surprised me quite a bit. It does seem extremely odd in today's
society for such an addition to a game...even if it is a hidden one. My 2
cents on the subject is as follows. Like the above writer, I get pissed off
when someone else tells me how to live/think/beleive. I don't want some robed
old guy, a 2000 year old book, or anything else, full of BS stories intended
to teach morality thrust upon me. That said...if the data is NOT part of the
game, and does not appear while playing (apprently it only pops up when
digging around on it with a 'puter), who cares!?!?!?!?! Not I. For all I care,
if it has -no- effect on the gameplay, they can have the Satanic Verses,
Koran, Torah, yada yada on the disc. I know if there was a -GREAT- game, let's
say...Radiant Silvergun. -ANY- kind of weird data (once again, assuming it is
hidden, and not apparent in the game), no matter -HOW- offensive, would NOT
stop me from buying the game. I may write the company a nasty letter, or some
similar action, but in the end, it's still a great game, that I enjoy. Why
deny myself the pleasure of playing it, just because some wacko puts hidden
files on the disc?
At any rate, everyone's opinion is their own, and that's fine. If it is for
sale, I may be interested. LMK if it is complete, original, and in good
condition,
Jason
