Re: Gus, IIgs emulator...
labelas@hotmail.com = posted this below to which I reply:
"Hey, I hear a lot of people mention Gus a lot, I'm curious...did it ever
make it past the dev version which got 'leaked' to the net? I remember
looking at a copy ages and ages ago, but then discovered Bernie, which I
liked better. (it may have been Fast Eddie at that point, but I don't
remember)
Is there something inherently great about it? CTurley, I hear you mention
it a lot but never Bernie..".
And...I reply:
I've had Gus for around 3 or 4 years now. It was given to me by the main
authors; Dave Lyons and Andy Nicholas. It's the only IIgs emulator I use and
I'm very happy with it. I'd love to be able to have, try, buy and use Bernie
v2.0 - however, one of the co-authors -> Henrick, has informed me that I can't
buy it.
As far as I know Gus has never been leaked onto the Net. There is an
empty Gus v1.0 folder on ACN -waiting for it's public release by the current
Gus author: Dave Lyons, when he informs me it can be placed
in that folder for the public to access.
Cheers,
Tom
