Yep. At least as far as I can tell (I don't believe it does anything
differently internally, it speaks the same protocol). I can confirm that
it connects up to my ISP (which uses PPP) and automatically logs in just
fine. The only difference from my Windows PC is instead of a shortcut
(an "alias" in Apple terms) to double-click on my desktop, I have to
open the graphical Control Panel, select Marinetti and then click on
the "Connect" button. I wonder if there isn't a way to create a short
cut method for dialing in.
The other difference, and most important one, is a lack of programs
that will operate under Marinetti. You can successfully get online, but
all you can do is open a telnet session. That is changing at this very
moment: GW-FTP apparently was just released (unfortunately I've not yet
seen it as I'm not a paying Delphi member :/), and "The Mailbox", a
POP3 e-mail program, should be available shortly. Other programs should
follow soon after that (I think Sheppy is working on an AOL real-time
messanger program, though personally I would be more interested in a
IIgs port of ICQ). :)
