Zip ][ (2e) v 1.0 - 4 Mhz Accelerator Problems with Ram Fast SCSI (2E version ) 3.01F

First of all this is a weird one. I have never seen a card claim to
have 2 diffrent Rom versions. When the RAM Fast SCSI first boots it
claims its revision 3.0E. After Pressing OK it then claims its 3.01F.
What is going on here? Happens on both the 2E and 2GS versions of the
card I'm using with Zip drives. Only Happens when changing slots or on
on initial installation.

The GS however works perfectly. I love it with my Ram Fast SCSI.

When I install the Zip Accellerator for the 2E into the enhanced ][e,
I can't get any information from the Zip. The Manuals says there were
problems with the 8Mhz accelerators (for 2GS) but nothing about the
2E. Anyway the 2E is 4MHZ. Is there a separate manual for the 2E? They
sent me a manually tailored for the 2GS it appears.

Interestingly the problem does not exist with the Saturn/Titan
accelerator card.

Slowing down the Zip to 1 Mhz doesn't solve the problem either. All
slots have been set to normal speed.

I can see the lights flashing on the zip drive and such when the ][e
is powered up but the Ram Fast never displays the prodos boot screen.
A ctrl-Reset does get me back to the Basic Prompt.

When I attempt to boot Prodos 8 by pr#6 from the floppy with the Ram
fast in slot 7. Prodos 8 hangs after the first screen display of
Prodos 8. Removing the Ram Fast then cures the problem.

The Zip utilities and motherboard all check out - OK.

QUESTION: Is their some known compatability problems with the Zip ][
(for 2E) v 1.0 - 4 Mhz Accelerator and the Ram Fast SCSI 2E version
3.01F before I attempt to beat my brains out with this one?
If So what is nature of the problem.
