This kind of report is very helpful to archive managers. Places
like Apple-Caltech, Asimov, Asimov-GS, uni-kl.de and Ground get so many
uploads, that it is not possible to test everything completely.
In case someone has one or more of the above games or some other
item to upload to apple.cabi.net, the upload URL is ...
ftp://apple.cabi.net/pub/applegs/Uploads/
A good format for uploads is a plain ShrinkIt (.shk) file created
using GS-ShrinkIt. If the idea is to send an entire disk, a good format
is a whole-disk ShrinkIt file-- these can be created for GS or IIe disks
using GS-ShrinkIt or 8-bit ShrinkIt.
Another format which is fine for uploading is a disk image (.dsk)
file created using ASIMOV or DSK2FILE. Zip (.zip) files created on a PC
using WinZIP are okay, too.
Text files which you want to place in Uploads individually can be
uploaded 'as is'.
An easy way to upload files from a PC under Netscape, is to just go
to the URL listed above-- you will see a nearly blank screen. Then, open
a window for the folder in which the file is located and drag the file
from the window onto the Uploads screen.
