Heh. Sounds like you have that completely backwards.

I'm not trying to repent anything, I've just changed my
attitude from one of extreme bias and closed mindedness, to
one of a more realistic and down to earth view of the
machine.

This does not mean I now dispise the machine or like to
go around critizing every single little weakness or flaw in
it. All it means is I can now see the merits other machines
hold where I couldn't see any at all before, and can accept
and deal with limitation of this machine without trying to
pretend they don't exist. Where have you seen me chanting
uselessly about weaknesses? I don't bring them up unless it
holds some _value_ to the discussion at hand. I believe the
issue is you want to hear nothing but bliss and wonder about
the machine, or nothing at all. I think if anything has been
done ad infinitum it's your glorifing the IIgs in almost
every single post, apending a 300+ line mini-FAQ.

You may find it hard to believe, but if you had a contest
for the top 5 biggest Apple IIgs fans on the planet, I would
be guaranteed to win. :) (just in case you think I'm an anti-
IIgs person. Incidentally, I'll have been using a IIgs for
11 consecutive years come next month).

>Then he discovers I have a 6x86 and at every opportunity
>sticks in "the 6x86 has a crippled FPU" ad infinitum
>(a claim that, by the way, has hardly been proven).

I only pointed it out when it was relevant (in this case
it was during our discussion about WinAmp and S-YXG50, which
need a fast FPU). Do you think I care if your processor is
better than mine? I'm not trying to have a contest if that's
what you think.

I think the question is what have *I* done to deserve this?
If anyone wants to judge who has been attacking who, there is a
handy tool called "Dejanews" which holds all the answers.
