That's perfectly OK! Yes, I do like playing around with your toolbox,
and I think for what your work is intended, it is implemented rather
well!
;-)
Being serious, though, I was playing around with MouseText using the
Apple UIG a few years back as an effort to combatting the ugliness of
"black space" and poor MouseText graphics design rather than coming up
with a more code-efficient solution. In sorts, it was proof-of-
concept to me that using the MouseText characters that Apple provided
in our computers can actually provide for a Macintosh/Lisa-like user
interface, compared to having a complete waste of 32 character
patterns in our ROMs! Initially, I thought it wouldn't be possible to
make an Apple desktop interface out of the MouseText character set,
but with some careful design choices, I managed to work out that you
can.
It's also a shame how earlier MouseText-driven commercial Apple II
applications also didn't come to the same conclusion of an Apple
desktop look-and-feel. So I made it an exercise to see what an Apple
look-and-feel could look like, given the severe constraints of the
character set.
I didn't expect you to respond with a "yes" to my question at all! I
was being more tongue-in-cheeck, and thought that since I had already
written my piece of design work ages ago, thought I let it loose than
let it bit-rot on my floppy disk!
No worries at all! All in good fun!
