Well I finally did it. I got the cables confused on my system and
hooked the IOmega Scsi zip drive to the Xebec Sider D2 controller
card. I was trying to transfer the contents of the drive to 100 MB
Iomega disks when the mishap occurred.
The Zip is ok, but the system will not recognize the Sider D2 now. I
keep getting an occasional message from the controller card that the
Sider D2 not ready. The drive light blinks very slowly.
The Xebec card I have has been modified with Glen Brendon's Sider chip
for Prodos. And the drive was reformatted orignally using Brendons'
utilities.

Question: What part of the card is malfunctioning now? Looks like I
may have damaged an IC though nothing visible is observed. Anyone
with previous experience in this area? The Rom appears intact.
Also will the Ram Fast Scsi Cards control the sider D2 without
modification? If it will this may be my best bet.
Is Omnishore electronics still in business?.... They took over the
Sider business in the early 90's.
