Re: IIGS Game Music

What would you like to know about the music? It was orginally
written and composed by James Brookes, using Soundsmith (in later
games he started using MegaTracker I think). Other games his music
can be heard in are VIAD and DuelTris, as well as the GS<>IRC Demo
(that even had "DuoTris" on it), GS<>IRC Music Disks #1 and #2 and
the Digital Exodus Christmas '93 Demo disk.
All are freeware you can download from the apple2.caltech.edu
and ground.ecn.uiowa.edu FTP sites (look in the directories for
games and demos).
>Any other games with particularly good "Techno" music?
Spacefox (especially) and The Gate are excellent examples of
games with good techno music. You can still purchase them from
Shareware Solutions II <http://www.crl.com/~joko>.
You may want to have a look at demos written by European
groups such as the FTA (e.g. Modulae, Xmas Demo, or their one
game, Bouncin' Ferno). Ninjaforce, thank to Dreamer, has some
of the best sounding music in their demos such as Revenge of
the Bobs and MegaDemo (if you own a IIgs, this is a must-have
for music, animation and graphics). Ninjaforce is working on
a clone of Bomberman called "KABOOM!" which is supposed to be
available quite soon and undoubtly will feature cool music. :)
