i read the article! that's great that you're getting the publicity!

i hope that your school system is "embarrased" into getting some new
machines, so that your students can learn about them.... (as much as i
hate to say it, kids these days aren't going to see Apple II machines in
offices these days...)

the editor probably thought it was a typo. of course, there's always the
possibility of somebody WRITING one.... <evil grin> hmmmm.... is there
a port of Perl to the Apple? i think there's a rudimentary web server
written in Perl already... <g>

hehehhe... near the end of the article, they mention a few others that
still use an Apple II:

The Apple II was cloned in the Soviet Union and is still the standard
machine in schools across Russia and former Warsaw Pact countries.

[i remember reading about this in Byte magazine back in '84, i think. the
author of the program was told that it was the "latest in Soviet
technology". they didn't seem to happy when he realized that it was an
Apple clone using fonts for Animatrix (what's the program that runs with
that? i forgot...).... anyway, he said that it was mostly wires and
tubes, with precious little in the line of actual CHIPS... <g>]

The Australian embassy in Washington DC still uses an Apple II.

hmmm....

another thing... the article pointed out that Jobs said nobody uses the
Apple II anymore... does he even KNOW about csa2 or the forum on
Delphi?!?
