Use a cable for Apple //c to Imagewriter I. It's a serial
printer cable, DIN5M to DB25M. Cost is US$10.00 approximately.
Then get an adapter or gender changer as needed.
You can do simple serial communications between
the machines. I've been having some fun experimenting
and playing with my //c and PC the last few weeks.
Software is required for more complicated
activities, like using ADT (Apple Disk Transfer)
to make disk images that serve as virtual disks fro
an Apple ][ emulator program!
