For the record, thanks to a lot of excellent help from David Empson and Steve
Nelson, I finally got to the bottom of the Appletalk problems I mentioned
here last week.  It was in fact a hardware problem; specifically, the -5V
output from the IIgs power supply was dead.  Evidently, there isn't much on
the IIgs motherboard besides the SCC that uses -5V, so this problem only
manifested itself when I attempted to use Appletalk.  Now... anybody know a
good place to get a new heavy duty IIgs power supply (I've already checked
with Alltech and Creative Solutions)?  Or is this my cue to finally put my
IIgs in a minitower? :-)
