DISK ACCESS
Everything you can do with the Finder can be done with Disk Access.
But because Disk Access is an NDA (New Desk Accessory) you don't have
to quit the current program just to use it!

Now you can initialize disks, create new folders, and copy, rename,
delete, and verify files, folders and disks, etc. just by choosing
"Disk Access" from the Apple menu. You can even view the contents
of any file, find files by name, and use advanced features such as
changing filetypes/auxtypes and file access.

Disk Access works with all System 5.0 (or later) programs that support
NDAs (e.g. AppleWorks GS, GraphicWriter III).

Suggested retail: $20.00

SPECTRUM
This is an incredible a graphics-based telecommunications program
written specifically for the Apple IIGS. It uses the standard
Apple IIGS "desktop interface" so it's easy to learn and use
without sacrificing speed or features.
Spectrum is an expandable program that provides access to many
different "host" computers. In addition to the standard
Super Hires screen display, Spectrum can use an 80 column text screen
display. Additional "drop in" displays are also provided so you can
access full-color ANSI, ProTERM Special, Viewdata, and VT100 services.
More "drop in" displays are already being planned.

A powerful, yet simple, English-based scripting language lets Spectrum
be tailored specifically for your use. Scripts can do almost anything,
from running an electronic bulletin board system to the daily
automatic sending and receiving of mail. Several scripts are
included as examples.

How does it compare to ProTERM?

That's the most common question we heard while Spectrum was in
development, so we're anticipating you might be wondering the
same thing. The answer is: ProTERM is an excellent program, but
Spectrum does more.

The biggest difference is that Spectrum is IIGS-specific, which
has many benefits:
* no need to quit to ProDOS 8 to use it
* easier to use with the graphical user interface (standard menus,
* windows, etc.)
* compatible with the myriad of utilities that work only with
* IIGS-specific software (e.g. Harmonie, Independence, Express,
* Kangaroo, TransProg III, The Manager, etc.)

Another significant difference is that Spectrum includes a
complete scripting language that can automate almost any task
(not limited to just simple "macros").

Technical Specifications:
Baud rates: 50 to 57,600
File transfer protocols: CompuServe B+, Xmodem, 1K Xmodem, 4K Xmodem,
Ymodem batch, Ymodem-g, Zmodem, as well as text-only transfers.
Online displays/terminal emulations: ANSI, ProTERM Special,
PFP/Pascal
Firmware Protocol, Viewdata, and VT100. Several displays support
a "chat line".
Modems: Spectrum supports all Hayes-compatible modems. It
also supports "hardware handshaking" for high speed modems.

Miscellaneous: Separate Scrollback and Capture buffers
(user-specified size). Full-featured text editor with special
formatting features (e.g. "convert lines to paragraphs").
Phonebook for 32 commonly-called systems (attach a script for
automatic logon).
Online timer (monitor the cost of a call). Cool sounds
(it even talks).

Hardware Requirements: Apple IIGS, 1MB memory, one 3.5"
disk drive although a hard drive is strongly recommended, GS/OS 6.

Suggested Retail Price: $85.00

THE MANAGER
IIGS users can now benefit from the same technology that Macintosh
users enjoy--The Manager provides a "MultiFinder-like" environment
for your IIGS. Multiple applications can be open simultaneously
and moving among them is as simple as clicking in a different window.

This is a tremendous time saver because you don't have to quit
one application to start using another, which is especially
convenient when copying and pasting between applications.

Use The Manager to create your own integrated environment...just
open your favorite IIGS-specific word processing, painting, DTP,
telecom and other programs, then instantly move among them! It is
fully compatible with AppleWorks GS, GraphicWriter III, Platinum Paint,
Teach, and more. It even works with system extensions such as
Express, Kangaroo, TransProg III, and others.

Don't settle for a limited "switcher"--the Macintosh started with
this type of program but MultiFinder made it obsolete.

Macintosh users know from experience that a MultiFinder program
gives you greater control, makes you more productive, and is more
enjoyable because it's easier to use.

Hardware Requirements: Apple IIGS, at least 2MB memory (4MB for
best efficiency), hard disk drive, GS/OS 6.

Suggested Retail Price: $30.00

TRANSPROG III
TransProg III is a time-saving program launcher. After installation
the TransProg III icon appears at the end of every standard menu bar.
>From then on, instead of quitting to the Finder each time you want to
start a different application, just select the application from the
TransProg III menu. The currently-running program is automatically
"quit" and the application you selected is immediately launched
(completely bypassing the Finder).

In addition to providing quick launching, various options can be
set for each application. For example, you can specify the default
folder that will appear when you choose File/Open after launching an
application. You can even change slot settings without having to
restart the computer!

The TransProg III menu is fully customizable. You can specify the
foreground/background color for each menu item and arrange the menu
items in any order you desire. By creating groups you can group
similar applications together on a hierarchic menu. For example,
you could create a group for all your word processing applications,
or your painting applications.

TransProg III also includes a really neat "Thermo Configuration"
option. Using that option you can define hotkeys for applications.
Whenever you start the computer and the thermometer screen appears,
simply press a letter you've chosen and that application launches
immediately...bypassing your usual Start application!

Hardware Requirements: Apple IIGS, hard disk drive, GS/OS 5.0.4
or later.

Suggested Retail Price: $30.00
