I'm assuming you miss-typed your question and are referring to the M0131
and the A9M0106. While these drives do use the same mechanism the
A9M0106 has some extra electronics inside the case. The effect of this is that

the A9M0106 will work on a Macintosh and a IIgs but the M0131 will only
work on a Mac or an Apple II with a UDC card.
