The Profile is pretty much useless without modification.  However,
after you convert it to SCSI, it is still a Profile, IMHO.  It still looks
great.  And you can still use it on an Apple III or III plus.  The
BOS OS has Apple HS SCSI drivers, so you can use such a card
with an SCSI converted Profile.

I wouldn't call it "gutting" a Profile.  More like a transplant.  ;-)
