Hi. You have a sort of infinite input-output loop. PR#2 tells the Apple to
send console output to the serial port, and then IN#2 tells the Apple to take
input from the serial port. The input from the serial port would normally go
to the screen, but PR#2 sends it to the serial port...
To talk to your modem, try this:
IN#2
<ctrl>-A (and then type T)
This should leave you in terminal mode, with an "_" cursor instead of the
blocky one.
Type "AT" or whatever, and you should get an "OK" from the modem.
This past week, I aquired a Hayes modem, which I hooked up to my //c. It's
been an adventure.
