What would make you think that all of the peripheral slot signals are present
on a //c logic board when there are no slots? If you see the expansion card
equivalents of 5.25 cards and serial cards, you notice that they use very few
of the pins present in the slots. Odds are that //c's only have what they need
built in and that doesn't include the necessary signals to run other periph-
erals.
