Sorry David, I�ll have to disagree with you on this. The two Apple power
supplies aren�t very different in output.

The output of the IIe power supply is 34.75 watts according to the labels on
the power supplies and the the Apple IIe Reference manual .

The output of the IIgs power supply is 36.25 watts according to the labels on
the IIgs power supplies and confirmed by the Apple IIGS Hardware Reference.
The IIgs and IIe  power supplies both had an input of around 65 watts but half
of that went up as heat and only half was output.

The 60 watt power supplies Applied Engineering sold for IIes were meant for
the IIe & II+,they sold them before there was a IIgs. Later they also sold a
IIgs
60 watt power supply that was an exact duplicate externally of the IIgs power
supply. This would fit in a IIe or a IIgs case.

I believe MC Price Breakers still sells a clone of both AE power supplies.
