You can hook gs computers to a network using AppleTalk. The good
message is that there is AppleTalk hardware built in in every gs.
The bad message is that a gs can only act as a client, never as
a server.

Briefly spoken, you will have to hook your network connector to
either the Printer or the modem port, install the needed drivers
from the System 6.0.1 disk, and change the control panel settings.

On a ROM1 gs change the printer/modem slot to "Your card" and
Slot 7 to "Appletalk". On a ROM3 change the printer/modem slot
to "Appletalk".

A detailed article about "networking the IIgs" was published in
the Shareware Solutions II magazine. I leave the praises and plugs
to Joe Kohn, the publisher. :) Just e-mail him at joko@crl.com and
ask him for Vol.3, Issue 4.

                                Best wishes!
