Phasor: 12 FM voices plus 2 white noise generators.
IIGS: 32 oscillator wavetable synthesis. Capable of anything from 15
to 32 independent voices. Digital audio playback, synthesis,
and MIDI via software.
Which is better? The Phasor is like a toy compared to the IIGS.
The IIGS' sound chip was used in the professional Mirage and
ESQ-1 samplers/synthesizer keyboards popular in the late 1980s.
