No, the speed of the IIgs is fixed because a lot of the parts on the main
logic board operate at a fixed speed. You'd have to redesign the IIgs
to get the main logic board to run faster. The only practical way to
accelerate a IIgs is to use an accelerator card.
On the other hand if your talking about cooling the accelerator card, it
would probably help a little. When upgrading a card its not unusual to
have it become unstable when it heats up. I've heard of people pointing
a fan at the accelerator or using a processor heat sink with attached
fan. I'm not sure I'd like the idea of frost on my circuit boards. I can't
think of any practical way for the average person to cool it down to
those temperatures.
