Apple Disk Transfer Program Horror Story Number 1

Subject: Trouble Shooting Recommendations Sought for Apple Disk
Transfer Program 1.20

Ok, here is horror story number one.
I'll post about story number two once this one is solved
and I get to the next one.

Ok here is the situation.
I am trying to use ADT 1.20 Apple Disk Transfer Program.
Somehow I got the binary and applesoft basic program to
the Apple II+ and saved them using the serial card. So
the card sort of works. Maybe. I guess.

I just bought a used super serial card for my Apple II+.
I have a Pentium PC so I don't think I have bad ports.
Cause I run my 56K modem out of port 2.

When I run ADT on my PC under windows 95, it will not
let me select serial port 2. EVER. At any speed!

This is the only external port I have.
I cannot get it to take any speed at all.
However, it always will accept serial port #1 which cannot
be used cause there is no physical hookup in back. Always.
At every speed.

What do I do?

Is there a better program than ADT?

My plan is to transfer my old disks to .dsk files for
Apple Windows emulator . . . Which Works.

Please e-mail me suggestions.
