Search and replace: Hermes/ProTERM

I regularly use ProTERM to search and replace control characters.  The 
most frequent use of this is to replace control-J with control-M.  Of 
course ProTERM has it's limitations.  Does anyone know if Hermes can 
complete this exact search and replace?  Is there any east-to-use program 
that provides this feature?
