It is an Init that supports translator files that you just drop into a
directory and you can convert files to and from different formats. It
comes with a Convert File NDA to convert files and apparently
SuperConvert already has support for Babelfish built in and Spectrum
v2.2 is supposed to support it as well. Basically you can convert
things like APF graphics to SHR screens, raw binary sounds to AIFF
instruments or Teach files into HTML documents.

SIS v1.1 may not support Marinetti. Geoff Weiss hasn't finished the
update yet but he's not sure if he'll be able to make SIS work with
Marinetti before v1.1 is ready to ship. It is on the books for adding
at some point, it is just a matter of whether that will be in v1.1 or
v1.2.

Definitely more than just for Spectrum but Spectrum is going to
support Marinetti quite well from the sounds of things. Apparently
Spectrum will be able to have 32 active connections going while using
Marinetti. Not to mention scripting commands to support TCP/IP
connections.
