Sorry, I should clarify this. All of Appleworks (the Apple II version
from 1.0 up to 5.1 and Appleworks GS is ours to publish. We are only
required by contract to support back to version 3.0 (the currently
published version at the time of our contract with then Claris and Apple)
And just in case any pirates are on this newsgroup, we are only required
to support people who can prove they actually own it.
Of course over the years we've been very relaxed about this because quite
frankly someone would call with a pirated version and I would sell them a
legal version because they called.

I still personally remember how much I loved my Apple II's. I still have
Appleworks data that I've never bothered to convert to the mac yet, but
it's still there just in case I need it. I'm a registered owner of Bernie
(I never use it, but the shareware fee helps someone who is perpetuating
my first digital love.)
But when it comes to business, .... hey....We gotta eat, make a living,
raise the family (or in my case pay the bills and hope for a family
someday) Let me put it this way. What other 20 million dollar company
has Apple II software for sale. We could just throw it all in the
dumpster, but we still offer the program. Not because we feel the Apple
II users need the favor, but because we still have a soft spot for the
computer that got us started.
