A real innovator would scrap PC compatability and battle PC for the
home market with an innovative new platform.

In fact, many II users will agree that today's top Macs are very
good computers. They also notice that there is no significant Mac user
base and that Mac is treated like a mildly incompatible PC by software
makers. Due to questionable PC compatibility and high prices, Mac is
getting creamed in the marketplace. There is no reason to expect that
this situation will change. Consequently, any Apple, Inc. course which
continues to pour resources into Mac is evaluated as "Dumb".

Yes, it does. You can not admit the obvious error of splitting away
from the II series and, then, claim the error has nothing to do with
Mac. Mac _is_ the error. It produced various short-term boosts in Apple
revenues at the cost of giving up an easy opportunity to dominate the
personal computing universe.

True enough. And none of the above means that we should be rude or
unkind to Mac users. If a Mac user posts a question here, there is no
harm in helping if you can and directing the user to a Mac group.
As for a more friendly attitude toward Apple, you are asking for
rather a lot from many long-time II users. It is up to Apple to set
things right; and, time is running out.
