Marinetti + IRC?
Okay, so there's a mess of cool applications being developed for
Marinetti, some of which we've seen mentioned in the usual channels
(wasn't a list in a Marinetti press release?), and today I notice word
of a POP3 mailreader and possible mail/FTP suite. Excellent!
Real question, is anyone working on an IRC client for Marinetti?
Required: access of one channel, private messages in the same window
and an easy way to reply ("/usernick Hey there!" for inst); commands
include private messaging, joining, ignoring, away and "/me".
Making it worthwhile: DCC sending and receiving, 'notify' list, the
ability to toggle "see join/quit messages", flexibility in the user
info portion similar to mIRC's nick/link/etc section.
Bonus points if possible: More than one channel, private messages in
separate boxes (similar to mIRC but not necessarily the same -- like
have ONE active private box, and some way to note who all is private
messaging to tab to them) or even toggle private message receiving off,
ability to join fservers, assignment of rSounds for events/notifys,
ability to play downloaded WAVs [am assuming that it's better to drop
out of the client app while keeping the TCP/IP alive to go to a JPG
viewer instead of integrate one], and seeing text colors as intended.
