Work is being done, but it's anybodies guess when it'll be done.  :-)

You don't want much, do you?  :-)

I don't know if anyone is working on an IRC client but I know I
haven't even considered it as I have never used IRC.

However, a lot of the functions you requested I have already put in or
will be adding to a Spectrum script for use with the Delphi chat
areas.  Unfortunately, this script will require a paid account because
it requires the text side (either by dial up or telnet) of Delphi to
work.

I'm sure an IRC client will be written eventually, though.
