Re: Vulcan HD/PS????
I used to get the same thing happening to me and discovered that it was
conflicting inits, cdevs, cdas, ndas whatever. Try booting while holding
down the shift key to boot without inits and see if it gets you to the
finder. If you're successful, deactivate the various addons until you
find the culprit. You may also have your /ramdisk set too high. Your
minimum and maximum should be the same.
I installed GUPP.7 (by Nathan Mates) and it cleared up a lot of
problems I had...ie, ShadowWrite crashing system, Wolf 3D exit problem,
desktop file corruption, ShrinkIt GS v1.1 corruption, DT Painter crashing
conflict, corruption to name a few. I have a ROM01 GS with 8 meg RAM,
100mb Vulcan Gold HD, Fingerprint GSi (version 2 -version 3 crashes due to
incompatibility with something), TWGSv1.8 running @ 15.75mhz. Before
installing GUPP, I constantly had crashing and lockup problems - now all
fixed.
