Thanks a lot for your encouragement. You are such a nice person, Jeff,
and I am glad that you still remember my meager $5 donation. I will try
to support you again if the need arises.

In fact, I still a little disappointed with the "shareware morale" of
some persons. For example, I have sent Eric Shepherd a $50 donation for
his programming efforts and I've never received even a small "Thank you"
via e-mail. Sheppy is not one of the more unpleasasant persons (at least
he doesn't throw insults in all directions like certain other persons :),
but I think he and some of the other A2 gurus will still have to learn
that Shareware is a bi-directional system, without a positive feedback
I won't be very motivated to pay any shareware fees in the future.

Dr. Tom and some of the other great persons have already taught the
A2 elite lesson #1 of human interaction - good manners! Now I think that
they will have to learn the next lesson - unasked kindness. I have
already had a short e-mail exchange with Ian Schmidt who has had such
a bad reputation in former times. He was excited when he heard that
AudioZap 2.0 was on my humble ftp site for free public download. I've
got a very good impression of him so far.

Sorry, if I have offended Slick or anybody else. I usually dislike to
make the first shot. I say what it occurs to me to say when I think I hear
people say things. That's all. If people want to be offended by my
insignificant opinions, they are free to feel offended, but my primary
mission in csa2 is to help.

Not quite true. Nathan Mates for example, is still around and posting
and I know that he won't leave because it's his job to stay and give
more or less useful advice. He may have cooled off a little and even
tries to be helpful sometimes, but he still eschews any opinion like the
plague. Boy, I have met hundreds of such persons in my life.

Albeit legal, my FTP site does not fit 100% in Nathan's black and white
scheme. He has even chosen to ignore my request for the Turkeyshoot game
in csa2 and I would not be surprised if he has already placed me on his
kill-file. But I will repeat the request via e-mail when I have more time.
I know that as an "official" csa2 and FAQ maintainer, he will eventually
have to answer and the whole csa2 community is waiting for his decision.

It's strange that a person who has given his "facts" about the legal
status of so many programs of other authors without being asked for them
is so unwilling to clarify the status of his own program. :)

Annoying Vogons by using their own bureaucracy against them is a fun
game, and I will play another round when I have more time. But for now
I am very busy with the reorganization of my ftp site and my HD. New
uploads will come soon and I plan to copy some of the ground & caltech
stuff, too.

Life has been tough for me and I will try to forget the last year and
make my site up-to-date again. Perhaps I will be able to learn scripting
and programming in the future, but this would cost more time than I
currently have. In the meantime I will try to help as good as I can.

There is nothing like a good boring job on a PC. Why stop when I'm just
hating it?

Flame wars come and go, but as long as there are nice people, goodness
will ever prevail. I have made good experiences with many of the great
guys here: Jeff, Doede, Dr. Tom, Joe Kohn, Ian Schmidt, Bret Victor,
Jawaid, Jesse Blue and many many others. I have received a few flames,
too, but the great thing in csa2 is that you usually get more
positive than negative feedback.

I think that everybody who is really(!) interested in social laws and
fair business will learn soon that he performs a better job with
persuasion, love, fun and a great deal of happiness!
