friend, i really wish that i could agree with you. (i'm an old-time
fan of the Apple II series, and these days i have a Pentium with Linux
installed as the default OS) if i want to play games like StarCraft,
i have to use WinDOZE. the Mac version isn't out yet, so far as i
know, but i don't have a Mac anyway... <shrug> if it weren't for
that, WinDOZE wouldn't even have the PRIVILEDGE of gracing my valuable
hard drive...
Word and Excel WILL NOT RUN under Linux or Be without an emulator.
the only real reason why the Mac is getting an updated M$ Office is
because Jobs sold out to Gates. if it weren't for that, M$ would have
been more than happy to witness the demise of Apple. instead, they
now have an investment to protect, so they put software out for the
Mac. again. ever wonder why they STOPPED updating the bulk of their
Mac version of software? 'cause the Mac poses a threat to WinDOZE. i
wouldn't be surprised to hear that Rhapsody gets scrapped and M$ ports
Win95 or (God forbid!) NT to the Mac.....
