I believe that there is a way to create a less than full installation
which will work from 800K disks, but I really don't think you'd be a happy
traveler with tha.  Small hard disks are quite cheap these days, if you
can even find them, and will give you much better performance than a
floppy drive.  Perhaps someone else here can give more information on how
to make the small configuration.
