Sorry I haven't replied sooner, what with the new quarter and all.

Ok, what I did was use the DeskWriter serial port driver that came with
Harmonie.  I ran a serial cable between the Epson Stylus 800 and the
GS printer port.  Then I used the Epson LQ4000 driver.  It is able to
print at 360x360dpi, but only in grayscales.  Although it does not like
to print in color with the Harmonie drivers, the print _is_ laserlike
in quality and the Stylus is a good alternative to expensive laser
printers.

That's the deal.  It works and people will benefit from knowing it can
work with a GS, but only in grayscales.
