One of the biggest things that I see every day when I use Windows 95
is the number of ways they have for closing programs. This, to me, is
excessive and wasteful. Here are the ways that I know of:
Click the "X" in upper right corner
Double Click icon in upper left corner
Click icon in upper left corner and select "Close"
Click File menu and select "Exit"
Press ALT-F4
Press ALT-F then press X
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL, select the program in the list box and press
the "End Task" button
Now, this probably doesn't really take much extra hard drive space or
memory to provide all these options but it is just one example. If
they went this crazy with something so simple, just think what they
did with some of the more complex stuff.
Like the easter egg that will show you the programmers names by
creating a series of new folders with really long names.
My Apple IIgs has the following ways to quit a program: (need to
bring things back on topic :)
Click close box in upper left corner (if an NDA)
Select the Quit menu item from the File menu
Press OpenApple-Q
