Apple mouse cards

I bought a ][+ today and it came with a box labeled applemouse. when i looked
inside, there was no mouse, but about 7 mouse controller cards that didnt even
looked used along with some disks. my question is if i can use a mac plus type
mouse or similar. i know geos will work with a mouse, will appleworks (~v1.3)
use it also?
