i downloaded some stuff which said it was in a GZIP format [whatever that is]. i have gzip on my computer but when i opened files in that, nothing happened. i tried opening in ACROBAT, but was told it wouldn't work because the file didn't start with %PDF. the result--i have a stack of tantalising but unopenable files on my desktop. any hints? --lydia
