What are you using for the "boot up" disk. My Apple //e NEVER asks for a
program disk on boot up. Try booting from the ProDOS Users Disk or Copy
][+. You can make a generic "Boot Disk" by formatting a blank floppy,
then copy ProDOS and Basic.System to it. With such a disk, the system will
boot and go into BASIC.
