...now your problem is different story altogether. Your problem is speed
dependent. Do you have a hardware handshaking cable? You can
buy one from Intrec, www.intrec.com. It may fix this.

I recommend getting a hardware handshake cable from Intrec. 2400BPS
is definitely not the limit of ProTerm.
