Hope you didn't pay much for it. The extra pin and keyed connector mean that
it only works with a geoport type serial port, and that only exists on AVs
and Powermacs. If it's like Apple's geoport adaptor, it isn't a modem per se;
the DSP in AVs or the PowerPC itself in Pmacs does the real work and the 
geoport is just a way to connect the phone line to it. Apple only supports 
14400 with AVs using a geoport for some stupid reason while it'll do 33600 
on a Pmac. They're just lazy and won't release 33600 software for the AVs.

I'm afraid you're totally out of luck using this with a non geoport equipped
box.
