Softswitch info?

Looking through some donated disks I came across a CDA by Roger Wagner, 
along w/ an init -- Softswitch. As I recalll it is something like the 
Manager for  8 bit programs, allowing several to run at once by setting 
up "Workspaces". Problem is this -- I run an 8 bit program, say ProTerm 
-- & then call the CDA. I try to save the workspace but get the msg
"Can't save Prodos 16 program" even though ProTerm is current application.

Does anyone recall the control key combinations?  Option (or command, I 
forget) F pulls something called FAstpath & there was another, maybe w/ E
that invoked something, but nothing that allowed me to define or save a 
workspace.

Any tips appreciated!
