For modems, use an external serial modem. The best terminal
software is quite copyrighted and still sold-- either ProTERM or
Spectrum. The FAQ mentions Steve Cavanaugh's $3 modem disk with
simpler comm software and utils. Appleworks GS is a bit buggy, but
available. As to all you can do, read the FAQ! When viewed online, has
nice hyperlinks, search facilities, and descriptive section names.
