It seems like it was called COS (Cassette Operating System).  It came off 
a 3.2 disk, so it was old when I got it.  I believe it was on a disk 
magazine, sorry but I can't recall the name right now.

My older brother bought an Adam just before they quit making them.  I 
remember he complained about the cost of the "Formated" tapes (the DOS 
initialize command didn't work).  So I used regular tapes and dubbed a 
"formated" one to them.  I seems like I had to make a hole in the regular 
tape as well, for it to work.  It may not have looked good, but it was 
cheaper!
