Well, this really isn't the forum for Mac users. You should really go to
comp.sys.mac.* or something. Over here, you usually just get flamed for wanting
to use a mac.
But in all fairness, putting a 540meg drive in an old mac II is neither bad nor
good. Chances are, you will have a hard time filling the drive (unless you are
a complete packrat). However, the drives usually are a *little* faster than the
old quantum 120meggers that they originally put in the things.
However, be forewarned. I have had problems getting some of the medium-large
size drives to work in some of the older macII machines. Some drives work, some
don't. It's a shame too, since SCSI was supposed to be standard everywhere..
But then again, this *is* apple computer we are talking about.
