Quantum Maverick drive for Classic II

Hi folks.

Sorting out some spare bits I have an external Quantum Maverick 540mb
and I am planningto get something a few gigs larger to replace it. Would
it be possible to re-use the redundant 540 drive by fitting it in my old
Classic II 10/40 running 7.5 to replace the old drive. Is the job
a) straight forward,
b) only with a bit of filing etc
c) leave it to a service shop
d) forget it
