Install Write-Protect Switch in IIC CPU: $10 + s/h

If you have back issues of A+ magazine, get the October 1986 issue and
read the "homebrew hardware" article, "WRITE PROTECT SWITCH FOR THE APPLE
IIC," by Jon Vanwormer.

I will install this kind of switch in your IIc cpu for $10 plus shipping.
Dont send the power supply, just the cpu main unit.   Shipping: $7 if you
live within 1000 miles of Gallup NM; $8.00 for elsewhere in the lower 49
states.

My write-protect switch circuit design is SUPERIOR to that mentioned in
the A+ magazine article, for these reasons:  

(1) My 3-position switch gives full manual cotrol of write-protect, and
also normal disk-notch control Its three positions are:  always write ---
always protect --- disk-notch control. The circuitry was suggested by
Australian David Empson, for which I am grateful.  With this switch, you
need never cut a square notch in any of your floppy 5.25" disks!

(2) The magazine article advises to place the toggle switch on the top
panel above the keys, a location that is unattractive and makes storage or
stacking of the cpu difficult.  I use a miniature 3-way toggle switch and
locate it on the SIDE, next to the volume knob.  The looks of the IIc CPU
are left intact.

Long live the Apple IIc with 3-way write-protect switch enhancement!
