Laser 128EX, upgrading RAM?

Does anyone know how to upgrade the RAM in the Laser 128EX?  Put in the
chips, no smoke, but does not seem to recognize the extra RAM.  I put in
twenty four 41256 200ns chips. Are these fast enough?
