No, they are not. The Laser 128EX requires at least 150ns chips.
You have to remember the Laser's acceleration is not based on a
cache. The entire motherboard runs at 3.6MHz, so it requires the
same speed memory chips as the GS.
The other suspect is that you have switched on the external slot
on the Laser. This slot maps to slot 5, so if it is activated you
lose memory expansion capability. The extra memory maps to slot 5
also. Flip over the Laser and open the metal door on the belly of
the computer. Inside, next to the ROM, is a switch that toggles
between the expansion slot and the extra memory. You have to turn
off the slot to see your memory.
